摘要	The invention relates to a method for management of simultaneous users (LM, RU1, RU2) in a telecommunications apparatus (N). Users communicating with the apparatus send the apparatus commands, at least some of which are write commands, to change the settings of the apparatus, several users simultaneously communicating with the apparatus are prevented from changing at least the same apparatus settings. To allow an apparatus connected to existing networks to be protected in a simple manner against simultaneous changes in its settings, (a) at least some of the commands sent by the users to the apparatus include an identifier (UNO) which identifies the sender of the command to the apparatus, (b) the apparatus allocates at least some of the identifiers as a response to a request made by the user, and (c) the apparatus keeps a record of the user rights relating to the identifiers, and determines on the basis of the identifier it has received whether the command relating to the identifier is to be performed.
