PURPOSE: To prevent a seal lip from damaging when a shaft is inserted, and improve sealing property by providing a seal lip protecting annulus which is brought in pressure-contact with a seal lip and which is detached from the seal lip in accordance with insertion of the shaft. CONSTITUTION: A fitting part 5A is provided with a projection part which extends in the axial direction, the inner circumferential side of the projection part 2 is fit to the outer diameter part 1D of a seal lip protecting annulus 1, assembly is carried out in such a way that a seal lip 7 is pushed and enlarged in the diameter direction on the inner wall of the inner diameter part 1A of the seal lip protecting annulus 1, a shaft 12 is interfered with the inner diameter side end part 4 of the inner diameter part 1A of the seal lip protecting annulus 1 by insertion of the shaft 12, and the seal lip protecting annulus 1 is moved to an oil side α. |
