<p>PURPOSE: To directly control a shared hard disk from processors through a connecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A loosely coupled computer system is constituted by mutually coupling computers from 100-1 to 100-N (N is a natural number) through a computer coupling mechanism 140. The computers from 100-1 to 100-N are respectively provided with a processor 101, memory 102, I/O device 103, disk control mechanism 104, computer coupling network adapter 130 and disk request processing part 110. The disk request processing part 110 performs a communication between the disk request processing parts 110 through a computer adapter 105 and the computer coupling mechanism 140 as needed and a processing request from any processor 101 is requested to the correspondent disk control mechanism 104. Since the disk request processing part 110 substitutively requests the processing request to the disk control mechanism 104, the processor 101 can control access to all disks from 106-1 to 106-N through the same access control procedure.</p> |
