PURPOSE: To allow a viewer to enjoy a high definition video image with a video display section corresponding to a usual video image without incurring deterioration in the image quality of the high definition video image, CONSTITUTION: A read control circuit 34 moves a read position of a partial area from a high definition video signal depending on a sensing result of a motion sensor 35 when the high definition video signal is read out of a video memory 36. When a viewer moves an HMD main body, since a part of area of the high definition video image in its moving direction is enjoyed within a visual field of an output pattern, the viewer views all high definition video images by moving the head. Thus, in the case of the HMD having the video display section corresponding to a usual video image, the high definition video image is enjoyed without incurring deterioration in the image quality. |
