FIELD: ion-plasma technology. SUBSTANCE: accelerator has its external pole extended relative to internal one through distance comparable with width of annular acceleration channel; it also has dielectric discharge chamber that provides for heavy misalignment of magnetic lines of force in acceleration region and, consequently, fast collapse of ion flow practically at accelerator edge followed by its divergence. EFFECT: provision for three to five times reduction in nonuniformity of ion flow in accelerator jet at great increase in output angular aperture of jet which makes it possible to considerably increase processing region area.
