PURPOSE: To prevent the malfunction even in the case or addition of a new storage device by checking the consistency of the version of the storage device at the time of power-on to make the storage device consistent. CONSTITUTION: When recognizing that a power key 2 is depressed by a user, a sub-CPU 1 turns on a power supply circuit 3 and releases a reset signal to initialize an information processor after waiting for a certain time. This sub- CPU 1 performs operation based on operation procedures preliminarily stored in an internal storage part while referring to contents of EEP-ROM 9. When detecting that the power key 2 is depressed to make the sub-CPU 1 and the EEP-ROM 9 consistent with each other, the sub-CPU 1 reads in the ID stored in the EEP-ROM 9 to discriminate its version. The normal processing is performed when this version corresponds to the version of the sub-CPU 1, but the EEP-ROM 9 is rewritten to make the sub-CPU 1 and the EEP-ROM 9 consistent with each other when the version doesn't correspond. |
