PURPOSE: To record waveform data in a waveform memory by compressing them. CONSTITUTION: In the waveform data of of the musical tone in one pronunciation, generally, many higher harmonics are included in an attack part and components of higher harmionics are attenuated with the lapse of time. Utilizing this fact, waveform data are compressed by reducing the number of waveform sample data while making the sampling frequency Fs respectively 48kHz, which is the highest frequency, in the attack part before the point of time t1, 32kHz in the attack part from the point of time t1 to the point of time t2, 24kHz in the attack part from the point of time 12 to the point of time t3 and 14kHz in the attack part after the point of time t3. |
