TOROIDAL SUPERCONDUCTIVE MAGNET DEVICE

PURPOSE: To cut down the thermal loss by a method wherein a helium vessel is provided inside a center pole so as to feed and recover the helium between a herium cooling system and respective cyrostats by relaying the helium vessel provided inside the central pole. CONSTITUTION: The liquid helium liquefied by a helium cooking system 4 is fed to a helium vessel 15 inside a center pole 11 through a helium feeding line 16. Next, the liquid helium is fed to respective cryostats 12 through a liquid helium connecting line 18 communicating with the lower parts of respective cyrostats 12 so as to cool down the superconductive coils 2 inside respective cyrostats 12. Finally, the gaseous helium inside respective cyrostats 12 are collected in the vessel 15 inside the center pole 11 through a cyrostat 12 and a gaseous helium connecting line 19 communicating with the upper part to be recovered into the cooling system 4 through one helium recovery line 17 for liquefaction again.
