<p>PURPOSE: To provide an internal combustion engine ignition coil which is capable of properly holding a high-voltage shaft-like terminal in a case. CONSTITUTION: A primary coil 12 and a secondary coil 22 are housed in an upper case 30, a secondary terminal 24 electrically connected to the secondary coil 22 is arranged on the base of the upper case at an opening 30a side. On the other hand, a lower case 40 is provided with a lid 40a and a cylinder 40b to support a high-voltage shaft-like terminal 8 in the cylinder 40b. At least, three ribs 41 are provided at a regular interval to the inner surface of the other end of the cylinder 40b extending in a radial direction, and the one end of the high-voltage shaft-like terminal 6 is uniformly supported by the ribs 41 provided along its circumference at a regular interval. A plug socket 50 whose outer surface 52a is tapered is mounted on the lower case 40.</p> |
