摘要 PURPOSE: To execute a compression processing with higher efficiency by executing a run length encoding processing at every block based on the run length of the mutually adjacent blocks which are judged to belong the solid image in the same density. CONSTITUTION: The encoding processing of the GBTC system is executed. Encoding data D(p, n) arrayed in respective lines consists of average value information LA, a gradation width index LD and signa data ϕij. At first, the value of a row address p in a compression memory 606 is initialized to be one. Writing address to the memory 606 of compression data CD which is obtained by the run length encoding processing is previously calculated. Encoded data D is read from a prescribed reading start address, so as to be written in the memory 607 and the run length encoding processing is executed. In the run length encoding processing, data D is compressed based on the run length of the black and white solid picture of encoding data D and prescribed compression data CD and run length data RD are outputted. After the encoding processing, data RD is inspected and data CD is stored in the memory 606 at the time of RD>1.
