The vessel has an inductively heatable metal film of titanium or titanium alloy, which can be applied to the base of the vessel. The thickness of the metal film is 0.05 to 0.3 mm. It can be applied by galvanizing or by being sprayed on. The metal film can be printed onto the upper surface of the vessel and/or sintered on. Alternatively, the metal film can be stuck onto the upper vessel surface as a foil or plate. The vessel can be heated by an induction coil supplied with an a.c. current of about 20 to 30 kHz by a generator.
