PURPOSE: To provide a image reading method to read images on an x-ray photographic film for industrial use highly precisely and highly efficiently. CONSTITUTION: In the method to optically read radiation images recorded on a photographic film 21 and arranged continuously by scanning, the arrangement of picture elements of a read out image is shifted by a prescribed quantity for every scanning to read picture elements as read out picture elements 121a, 121b. Consequently, reading out miss of a fine image at the time of reading out of a image is prevented, the processing efficiency is improved, the reliability is improved, and the capacity for the taken image data housing can be decreased. |
