The hydraulic capsule comprises of a combination of hydraulic dampers (1) and pneumatic spring (2), with multiplier valves are arranged between the dampers and the spring. The quasi-static stresses on the capsule can be increased due to the resistance of the pneumatic spring. Inserted, parallel to the multiplier valves, is an over pressure valve (4), whose function remains closed under quasi-static stresses, but opens under dynamic stresses and neutralises the function of the multiplier valves.
