The instrument is held in one hand and played by finger-allocated strikers and a resonator (20) allocated to the palm of the hand, striker and resonator being hinged together at spacing. There is a finger loop in the hinge area and on the rear of the striker on the side furthest from the impact face (22) of this. Both striker and resonator have impact surfaces and both are made of resonating material. The free longitudinal extent (44) of the hinge amount to 2 cm between striker and resonator and can be adjusted in length, being made of leather or fabric. The striker has less than 50% of the volume of the resonator and both have rounded contour.
