PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for passenger of air plane or the like, which can be removed for use from a seat structure without an anxiety of loss and robbery. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a seat side electronic device box 24, which receives the signal from a signal line 36 at a distance and which includes an output device 20 connected to a receiver thereof, a control device 18 for passenger, which sends the infrared ray signal to the seat side electronic device box 24 and which is installed in the seat structure (an armrest) freely to be removed, and electric safety sensors 54, 56 for detecting whether the control device 18, which can be freely removed, is fitted to the seat structure 16 in the predetermined positional relation or not. The electric safety sensor is provided with, for example, a contact 54 provided in the control device 18 for passenger and a contact 56 provided in the armrest 16 at a fitting part of the control device 18, and when the control device 18 is returned to the original position, these contacts 54, 56 contact with each other so as to flow the charging current of a battery of the control device 18, and condition of the control device 18 is detected by detecting the charging current. |
