PURPOSE: To obtain an absorptive sheet homogeneous in the mixed state for the respective components, thin in a surface skin layer prepares thereon, and developing no interlaminar debonding. CONSTITUTION: Synthetic pulp singly or its mixture with <=50wt.% of synthetic fibers (and, according as necessary, a binder) is subjected to wet or dry papermaking process to form into a monolayer sheet-like product, which is then heat-treated, and the surface of the product is heated at a high temperatures to obtain the objective absorptive sheet with at least one side of the absorptive layer provided with surface layer(s). The surface layer bears a porous skin layer 1-100g/m<2> in basis weight. Specifically, this absorptive sheet is obtained by drying and heat treatment of the above monolayer sheet-like product followed by instantaneously heating at a temperature of 5 to 50 deg.C higher than the melting point of the synthetic pulp or synthetic fibers using a hot plate or hot pressing roll. |
