摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain an electroluminescent element high in brightness, luminous efficiency and reliability and reduced in deterioration of luminescence from an electron-transporting material having excellent electron transportation and good efficiency of electron injection from the cathode. CONSTITUTION: The electron-transporting material for an organic electroluminescent element of the formula [R<1> to R<4> are each H, a (substituted) aliphatic group, a (substituted) aliphatic ring, a (substituted) homocyclic aromatic ring, a (substituted) heterocyclic ring; X<1> to X<2> are each O, S, dicyanomethylene] is obtained. The electroluminescent element is provided between a pair of electrodes with an organic thin film having a light-emitting layer or the light- emitting layer and an electron-injecting layer containing this material.
