PURPOSE: To prevent a large volume of water from overflowing from a dehydrating part and from entering a garbage recovering chamber even if this water flows into a garbage treating device from a sink without increasing the size of this garbage treating device. CONSTITUTION: This garbage treating device has a supply pipe 22 which is connected at one end of its inlet side to the outlet port 21 of a disposer 20 and is inserted at the other end into a strainer 15. This supply pipe 22 is formed to a slightly small diameter in the perpendicular straight pipe part extending from the horizontal pipe part 22a on the inlet side and is made smaller in the opening sectional area of the perpendicular straight pipe part than that of the horizontal pipe part 22a, by which a flow rate throttling part 40 is formed at a boundary part. Further, the device is provided with a return flow passage 50 which is branched from the horizontal pipe part 22a and communicates with the disposer 20 on the upstream position of this throttling part 40. The pass flow rate is limited by the throttling part 40 and the water is partly sent through a supply flow passage 25 into the strainer 15 when the large volume of the water is poured from the sink 35. On the other hand, the water made to flow over by the throttling of the throttling part 40 is returned through the return flow passage 50 into the disposer 20. |
