PURPOSE: To produce an oxide dispersion strengthened steel sheet excellent in high temp. strength, particularly, in high creep strength, in a steel in which componental compsn. is limited to an optimum range, by dispersing Ta-base or Nb-base oxides having specified grain size at a specified density. CONSTITUTION: This steel sheet is the one having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.001 to 0.30% C, 0.02 to 1.0% Si, 0.1 to 3.0% Mn, <=0.05% P, <=0.02% S, 0.5 to 13% Cr, 0.02 to 0.5% V, 0.0005 to 0.05% Al and 0.002 to 0.1% N, contg. 0.03 to 2.0% Mo or 0.05 to 4.0% W, furthermore contg. 0.004 to 1.0% Ta or 0.002 to 0.5% Nb, moreover contg., at need, prescribed amounts of Ni, Cu, Co, 0 or the like, also satisfying A=0.01/Si<0.5> -8/9Al>0, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and in the steel, Ta-base or Nb-base oxides having 0.002 to 3μm average grain size are dispersed by 0.01 to 10 pieces/μm<2> numerical density.
