PURPOSE: To ensure a fireproofing performance by a method wherein a party wall positioned between first and second adjacent apartments in an apartment building has a double wall structure composed of outer wall panels of the first and second apartments. CONSTITUTION: An apartment building H includes a double party wall T is disposed for separating a first apartment A and a second apartment being adjacent to the first. An outer wall panel P1 of the first apartment A and an outer wall panel P2 of the second apartment lapped over the outer wall panel P1 with a gapαformed between are so disposed as to make up the double party wall T. These outer wall panels P1 and P2 are formed of frame bodies 10 and 20 surrounding the peripheries, a plurality of longitudinal core materials 11 and 21 and face materials 13 and 23 made up of heat insulating materials 12 and 22 and fireproof boards, respectively. Moreover, the longitudinal core materials 11 of the outer wall panel P1 and the longitudinal core materials 21 of the outer wall panel P2 are so set as to be disposed zigzag in relation to each other. Accordingly, an improvement in a sound insulating performance and reduction of the cost can be achieved.
