Waste disposal unit for sink waste pipe

The waste disposal unit has a waste discharge line (16) coupling the waste container (2) to the mains drain, for discharge of the waste material received from the sink waste line (17), after it is pulverised via a shredding device (7). The pulverised waste is fed to the waste discharge line via a pumping device, pref. combined with the chopping blades of the waste shredding device. An electronic control (13) pref. only allows the waste disposal unit to be operated when its access cover is closed.
