The control operates on a panel (1) driven (4) in both directions by a motor (3) supplied with DC from the output stage (10) of a controller (11). The input stage (9) is wired to a two-position selector (12). Information on the instantaneous position of the panel is stored in the memory and used in conjunction with the type of input signal to vary the excitation of the motor. The course of the null position is checked and corrected on the basis of a unique pattern of current variation arising at a predetermined and known position of the panel.
