Shearing device, specially for cutting metals or concrete

The shearing device is mounted on the end of the movable arm (1) of a site machine, and consists of a fixed jaw (2) which is secured to the arm and a movable jaw (8) which is pivotable relative to it under the action of a fluid-actuated jack (13). The movable jaw has a guide pin (10) which moves in an arcuate guide slot (9) of the fixed jaw. An elastic shock-absorbing stop (11) is located at the upper end of the guide slot to correspond to the closed shearing position of the two jaws. A lateral bearing assembly maintains the cutting edges (C) of the jaws at a constant lateral separation during relative movement.
