Plastics lining enclosing noise emitting structural part of motor vehicle

The half shells (1,2) of the plastic lining consist of an inherently rigid casing (7) equipped with a foam inlay (8). One half shell (1) is formed as a cover (6) and fits over the other half by its edge. The cover is provided with a flap which is lockable in its closed position in jigsaw puzzle fashion and which can pivot around a weak point on the casing (7). A feed connection is accessible after opening of the flap.
