Sifting device to separate sand or gravel into coarse and fine particles

The sifting device has two sieve drums (15,16) one inside the other. The inner drum (16) has a sifting zone of coarse mesh and the outer one (15) has a sifting zone (19) of fine mesh. The inner drum overlaps at least the fine sifting zone of the outer drum. One of the endfaces of the inner drum serves as a filling aperture for the material. The drums are at a slight angle to the horizontal, so that the material is transported as the drums rotate. This ensures that the two grades are separated without the fine mesh being damaged by coarse particles.
