[Also in Division B3] A plurality of mould halves 18 are cut away at one corner to form a surface 21 which cooperates with one side of a polygonal block 10 which, when brought into engagement with a similar block (not shown), defines distribution passages 12 for injected material. In the example shown, there are four square or rectangular moulds, one of which is removed in the Figure. Ribs 16 on the block 10 engage in corresponding grooves in the surfaces 21 of the mould halves 18. Cooling fluid is circulated through ducts 17 in the block 10. The complementary block (not shown) is mounted on a stationary platen and provided with an inlet passage communicating with a gate 11. The gate 11 has a conical core 14 and holes 15 for ejector pins. |
