摘要 FIELD: production of spongy titanium. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has retort-reactor 1 with spherical bottom, hermetically cut-in cover 3 with central branch pipe 4 and branch pipes 6,7,8 for supplying of titanium tetrachloride, magnesium and argon and vacuumizing branch pipe, false bottom 9 defined by sheet 11 mounted in central annular support 14 and discharge device 16 with shield 17 and lever 22. Auxiliary annular supports 10 are positioned concentrically with respect to central annular support 14 on spherical bottom of retort. Divider wall 12 is radially extending between central annular support 14 and outer annular support and intersects ribs of annular support along overflow windows 13 to define discharge channel. Sheet 5 is rigidly welded to central branch pipe 4 of cover 3. Sheet 5 carries branch pipes 6,7 for supplying magnesium and titanium tetrachloride. Discharge device is provided with detachable branch pipe 20 with slot 21 for receiving lever 22 with screen 23. Heat shield 31 is mounted above cover 3 and is provided with inner shell 34 formed as truncated cone with larger end oriented to cover 3. Cooler 27 has ring 28 welded to upper part of shell and hatches 30 positioned in plane of intersection of heat shield and shell upper parts. Height ratio of cover 3 and retort is 1:(11-15); diameter of magnesium pouring branch pipe 6 is 0.5-0.8 of diameter of central branch pipe 4 and its height is 0.4-1.0 of that of central branch pipe 4; argon supply branch pipe 8 is removably mounted on magnesium supply branch pipe 6; support 14 is positioned below rings supports 10 for value equal to thickness of thrust 15; length of branch pipe 20 is 1.0-1.5 the length of discharge pipeline 16; heat shield 31 of separating unit is positioned above cover bottom a distance 1/5-1/4 of cover cut-in depth; shell 34 of heat shield 31 is inclined to cover surface at an angle of 10-20 deg; ratio of upper and lower diameters of inner shell 34 is 0.6-0.9. Heat shield 31 further has nozzle 35 with shell 36 filled with magnesium 37. Nozzle 35 is deepened into central branch pipe 4 of cover 3. Low-melting point plug 24 is mounted in nozzle upper opening. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of produced titanium.
