<p>The switching network includes n inputs and (n+p) outputs (or vice versa). The n inputs are intended to be connected to all combinations of n outputs amongst the (n+p) outputs, with n and p predetermined integers such that n is greater than or equal to 4 and p is greater than or equal to 2. Each switch comprises four terminals and at least two configurations. The network comprises a number of blocks, each consisting of a switch, an input, an output, and input terminal and an output terminal. A number of redundant blocks each comprise an output and an input terminal. A number (a) of general blocks ae also included, with n being the smallest integer such that 2a is greater than or equal to n. Each general connection block includes an interconnection block with p input and p output terminals. The nominal and redundant blocks are distributed amongst the general blocks.</p> |
