DRIVE UNIT WITH ENGINE AND RETARDER BRAKE

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: drive has engine and hydrodynamic retarder brake which is in constant kinematic coupling with engine, cooling liquid circuit where liquid serves simultaneously as working liquid of retarder brake. Under non-braking conditions retarder brake can be used as cooling liquid pump. Device features the following parameters: retarder brake is designed for operation under filled up state; ratio of inlet section (A) of retarder brake and its outlet section A (A) is 4-7 at braking and 0.5-2 at traction.
