PURPOSE: To provide a power converter, in which a DC factor is excluded from an input voltage of a piezoelectric transformer, by forming a circuit including an inductor with one end connected to a DC input power supply and the piezoelectric transformer connected in parallel with the inductor. CONSTITUTION: In a power converter, a piezoelectric transformer 50 and an inductor 30 are connected in parallel. A voltage V3 applied to a piezoelectric transformer 50 includes partly a positive and negative non-symmetric wave like a sine wave through resonance, but no DC factors. The reason is because the inductor 30 with impedance of zero in DC current is connected in parallel with an input of the piezoelectric transformer 50 so that a DC factor is short- circuited and the applied voltage V3 includes only AC factors. |
