PURPOSE: To prevent a deterioration in out-of-roundness caused by the deformation of a cylindrical conductive substrate at the time of assembling a flange into the end part of the conductive substrate and to obtain an excellent image by making the outside diameter of the part of an end part engagement member to be inserted into the end part of the conductive substrate larger than the inside diameter of the conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION: Gears 7b and 7c on both end parts of the drum-like cylinder 7a of a photoreceptor drum are provided with fitting parts 7b1 and 7c1 which are press-fitted into the end parts of the cylinder 7a respectively and the outside diameters (dN) of the fitting parts 7b1 and 7c1 are formed to be larger than the inside diameter DS of the cylinder 7a. After the gears 7b and 7c are press-fitted into both end parts of the cylinder 7a respectively, a part of the end parts of the cylinder 7a is caulked in several places and the end parts of the cylinder 7a are fitted into the recessed parts 7b2 and 7c2 of the respective gears 7b and 7c. Therefore, stress applied to the end parts of the cylinder, at the time of caulking is received by the fitting parts of the gears, so that the deformation of the cylinder 7a can be suppressed as little as possible. Thus, the out-of-roundness of the photoreceptor drum is improved and the excellent image can be obtained. |
