LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL, PROJECTOR AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal panel having a black matrix whose reflectance at a high shielding area is high and which is made a thin film state without complicating the manufacturing process of the liquid crystal panel, and a projector and a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: As for the liquid crystal panel having glass substrates 10 and 30 arranged opposed to each other, liquid crystal 39 sealed in between the glass substrates 10 and 30, a picture element electrode 38 provided at the glass substrate 30 and orienting the liquid crystal 39 by applying voltage and light shielding film 42 provided at the glass substrate 10 and shielding light made incident on an area where the picture element electrode 38 is not formed; the light shielding film 42 is constituted of first film 12 provided on the glass substrate 10 and at least having a layer that consists of material whose specific resistance is <=10<9> Ω.cm and second film 14 provided on the first film 12 and absorbing the light.
