Polyamide (polycaproamide) is mixed with 0.3-1% glutaric, methyl-tetrahydro-phthalic, caprylic or succinic acid, or with 0.3-2% of their anhydrides and then the mixtures are extruded into filaments. Best results are obtained with ratio of length to diameter of fibre being 20:1 with dwelling time in the extruder of 5 min.
