METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPROVING COAL ASH QUALITY

PURPOSE: To produce a high quality coal ash by modifying a coal ash (fly ash) containing an unburned carbon. CONSTITUTION: The device is composed of an atomizer 18 of a surfactant aq. soln. and a spray type modification device 16 in which the coal ash is modified by blowing the surfactant aq. soln. sprayed from the atomizer 18 in the coal ash, and the modification device is incorporated at a waste gas flue 14 or an air flow transporting pipe. Then, 0.2-10wt.% aq. soln. containing 0.5-50wt.% surfactant is added in spray to the coal ash in the waste gas or during an air flow transportation. And a kneader type modification device in which the coal ash is modified by kneading the coal ash and the surfactant aq. son. may be incorporated at the air flow transporting pipe of the coal ash at a down stream of a raw powder silo.
