PURPOSE: To obtain an optical resin material having heat resistance, moisture resistance, chemical resistance and incombustibility by melting fluorine- containing noncrystalline polymer having substantially no C-H bond at the temperature conveyed from a specific temperature range, pouring substance having specific gradient index difference at the center, and molding it while diffusing it. CONSTITUTION: Fluorine-containing noncrystalline polymer having substantially no C-H bond is melted in a temperature range 50 to 300 deg.C above its glass transition temperature. At least one type of substance having a difference of gradient index of 0.001 or more in comparison with the fluorine-containing polymer or fluorine-containing polymer containing the substance is poured in the center of the melted polymer, and molding while diffusing the substance or after diffusing to mold a region having continuously varying gradient index. In a plastic optical transmission unit, the noncrystalline fluororesin is used to transmit the light from the ultraviolet light to near-infrared light with extremely low loss. |
