PURPOSE: To obtain a measuring apparatus by which the torsional moment of a hull can be found easily as the output of a Wheatstone bridge circuit without a need for a complicated computing operation. CONSTITUTION: A first strain gageεp1 and a second strain gageεp2 which are pasted respectively on the front and the rear at the left end part of a deck strut 1, in the transverse direction, which couples a port deck 4P and a starboard deck 4S which are symmetric and a third strain gageεs1 and a fourth strain gageεs2 which are pasted respectively on the front and the rear at the right end part of the deck strut are arranged on respective sides of a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and the Wheatstone bridge circuit is connected to a power supply 5, and the outputεw of the bridge circuit is taken out as the torsional moment of a hull.
