PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition containing a pronase and an antimicrobial agent as active ingredients, capable of surely and safely eradicating Helicobacter pylori in a short period in a high probability and useful for the prevention and therapy of peptic ulcer, etc., caused by the infection of the bacteria and for the prevention of their recurrences. CONSTITUTION: This eradicating composition for Helicobacter pylori contains a pronase and an antimicrobial agent as active ingredients. As the antimicrobial agent, a combined use of three kinds of antimicrobial agents such as bismuth subnitrate as a bismuth preparation, amoxicillin as an antibiotic agent and metronidazole as an antiprotozoal agent, is preferable. Also, the objective composition is preferably a liquid preparation. In the case that the objective composition is the liquid preparation, the blending amount of 0.2-0.4wt.% pronase and the total blending amount of 3-10wt.% antimicrobial agents are preferable. Further, in order to conduct the eradicating treatment, it is preferable to dam up the angulus of an upper duodenum to prevent the flow out of a gastric content, then to inject the above composition directly into the stomach, to expose whole gastric wall to the composition while changing a patient's posture, and then, further to discharge the gastric content from the stomach after the completion of the treatment.
