ELECTROCHEMILUMINESCENT MONITORING OF COMPOUNDS

The present invention provides detectable compounds comprising a chemicallytransformable first compound covalently linked to an electrochemiluminescent compound. These compounds are useful in processes and kits that monitor the status of the first compound and derive information from the monitoring. The figure shows a proposed ECL mechanism depicting reaction steps associated with the use of TPA as a nonconjugated reductant.
