Controlling withdrawal tension of textile warp

A process is for controlling the withdrawal tension of the textile warp of a sectional warping frame preceding a sizing plant. The tension is kept constantly equal to the value of the yarn tension required in the sizing plant in all running, start-up and braking conditions. This is achieved as start-up and braking conditions. The braking force of the warping beams is adapted to the actual beam mass. The process excludes tension settings from transitions of the different rest and movement states with the help of a computer control.
