Two angularly inclined shafts subject to limited rotation (of a range of less than 180 degrees) are connected by a torque transmitting coupling 10 including an end member 12, 14 fixed to each shaft (e.g. by bolts 40, 42) connected by an intermediate member 16 which includes resilient diaphragms (e.g. of parts 32, 34), at least one of the members 12, 14, 16 having a planar end inclined to its axis of rotation. The member 16 may comprise only a pair 20 of diaphragms, or the left hand shaft may be rigidly connected at 36, the left hand part 34 being an end member. The shafts and coupling may form part of an aircraft linkwork controlling either control surfaces or air-inlet by-pass doors of a turbine engine. |
