In setting up connections between PBX exchanges in a multi-PBX system a calling extension seizes a connecting set A which recruits the services of a hunting selector S to associate a dialled digit store (register-sender) W, the store W being connected on the one hand over switch K to receive digits from the calling extension and being connected on the other hand to a so-called allotter Z which responds to a code on an information multiple Z to determine an initial digit or digits for transmission by the store W. The initial digits identify the wanted PBX and the digits decoded from multiple J may be delivered to store W after reception of digits from the calling extension has commenced. Each connecting set is associated with an exchange line circuit V. The code on multiple J is received in Z on a saturable core matrix M. |
