<p>For a signal (xn), where a reduced number of samples is available, the frequency spectrum may be determined by evaluating the coefficients Äap,kÜ of a model of order (p) corresponding to a predictive law using the (n-p) preceding samples, k varying from 1 to p. The circuit employed uses a lattice network (2) which from the Burg recurrence relations gives the direct and retrograde errors ( eta f,n,m) and ( eta b,n,m), m varying from 1 to p. Further circuits (3), (4) calculate the numerator (D*m) and denominator (Gm) of the coefficient ( mu m) of Burg's method of maximum entropy.</p> |
