Ashless dispersants are formed using polymers of propylene characterized in that they are liquid substantially linear polymers, they have stereo-irregularity in the polymer chain, at least 60 mol percent of the polymer has a terminal vinylidene group and, optionally, the polymer contains up to 25 mol percent of ethylene or a C4 to C10 monoolefin polymerized into the polymer chains. |
