摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the title device to treat mechanically, to improve centering accuracy and to stabilize operation, by a method wherein the title device follows passes of a sheet material and conveying material and centering of the sheet material and conveying material are performed independently. CONSTITUTION:When supply of a sheet S is completed, a steel sheet pile A is supplied to a pass line by a conveyor device B. In this instance, the steel sheet pile A passes through between copy rolls 8 whose distance between the rolls is set up beforehand in accordance with dimensions in width of the steel sheet pile A and set up so that the center of the distance between the rolls is situated at the center of a copy device 2. Therefore, when the pass line of the steel sheet pile A is varied, the whole of the copy device 2 is moved in a right and left directions through its reaction force. The copy device 2 is actuated by following after the variation of a position of the steel sheet pile A like this and the center of the copy device 2 keeps always a relation where the center of the copy device 2 is coordinated with that of the steel sheet pile A. On the other hand, centering of the sheet material S with the copy device 2 is performed. Therefore, the sheet material S and steel sheet pile A have relation where the centers of both of them coincide with each other and the centering between both of them is established through the copy device 2.
