Hair conditioning shampoo compositions are described comprising: (a) from approximately 5% to approximately 50% by mass of an anionic surfactant component, (b) from approximately 0.05% to approximately 10% by mass of a silicone hair conditioning agent, which is dispersed or insoluble, non-volatile and non-ionic, (c) from approximately 0.05% to approximately 10% by mass of an organic and cationic polymer agent which acts as a hair conditioner and is soluble in water, (d) from approximately 0.05% to approximately 5% by mass of a liquid and oily conditioner agent which is organic, non-volatile and insoluble in water and selected from the group comprising hydrocarbon oils and fatty esters and their mixtures, and (e) an aqueous carrier agent. The shampoo compositions presented here provide excellent general hair conditioning benefits together with excellent cleaning performance. |
