<p>PURPOSE: To provide a structure by which the generation of rotation play of a key lock unit can be prevented without the hurt of an installation workability and a burden for a knee can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: In the installation structure of a steering lock device 1 provided with a key cylinder unit 2 fixed for an instrument panel and a key lock unit for allowing or regulating the rotation of a steering shaft whose slant is changeable, a key cylinder inserting through part 51 in which the one end side 2a of the key cylinder unit 2 is inserted through and supported is formed on a plate bracket fixed in the instrument panel side and projections 61, 63 projected upward are provided on the one end side 2a of the key cylinder unit 2. An engaging groove 65 for regulating the rotation of the key cylinder unit 2 by the engagement with both side parts 61a, 63a of the projections 61, 63 and also which becomes a stress concentration part for the load input from the key cylinder unit 2 to the upside is formed on the key cylinder inserting through part 51.</p> |
