PURPOSE: To obtain an AC generator for vehicle which can be secured to the housing of generator except the rear end wall thereof without causing overheating. CONSTITUTION: A three-phase full-wave rectifier 19 comprising MOS power transistors of single crystal SiC semiconductor is secured to the circumferential wall 1a of generator housing or the pulley side end wall thereof. This structure can eliminate the effect of radiation heat from exhaust pipe on the three-phase full-wave rectifier 19.
