PURPOSE: To provide a driving method for matrix type color liquid crystal display device in which information can be precisely displayed with a small total number of picture elements. CONSTITUTION: In the driving method for a matrix type color liquid crystal display device having a color picture element arrangement consisting of a color arrangement of three colors of red (R), green (G) and blue (B) in which GRGB picture elements, as one period, are continuously repeated in row or line direction, the three color picture elements arranged in order of R, G, B or B, G, R with the G picture element 2 of the color picture element arrangement as the center are set as display units 4a, 4b, and to the display unit sharing the B picture element 3 or R picture element 1 with the adjacent display unit, a display signal is inputted every display unit by a driving signal. |
