Arrangement for damping the movement in a hydraulic impact hammer, the said arrangement comprising a hydraulic impact hammer 1, a housing 2, in which the hydraulic impact hammer 1 is mounted so that it can move in its longitudinal direction, and spring elements 5 between the impact hammer 1 and the housing 2, which damp the relative movement between the hydraulic impact hammer 1 and the housing 2. At the front end of the impact hammer the arrangement has a damping stay 7, which is fixed so that it can move relative to the hydraulic impact hammer 1 or its housing 2 in their longitudinal direction and is coupled to either of them by spring elements 8. <IMAGE>
