PURPOSE: To generate a clamping force without using a frame for causing it to increase in size. CONSTITUTION: At the time of mold clamping, a pair of lower side ring 14 and upper side ring 16 in contact with the side 11b of a green tire 11 are provided. Further, the tire vulcanizer comprises a split mold cassette unit 9 having a tread mold 17 in contact with the tread part 11a of the tire 11 and so formed as to sandwich the rings 14 and 16 at the time of mold clamping and a mold telescoping mechanism for clamping or opening the mold by telescoping the mold 17 to the rings 14 and 16 in contact with the side 11b of the tire 11. |
